Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Educational and Competency Qualifications on the performance of Gorontalo City Government Pratama High Leadership Officials, either partially or simultaneously. The approach in this research is quantitative. The research method is ex post facto and correlational research design. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results of the study show that (1) Educational qualifications have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Gorontalo Municipal Government Primary Senior Officials with a partial coefficient of determination (R2) of 8.40%. (2) Competence has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Gorontalo City Government Pratama High Leadership Officials with a partial coefficient of determination (R2) of 71.00%. (3) Educational and Competency Qualifications simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of Gorontalo City Government Primary Senior Officials with a simultaneous coefficient of determination (R2) of 79.40%. While the remaining 20.60% can be influenced by other variables not examined in this study such as motivational factors, work commitment, leadership style, organizational culture and administrative modernization in the field of work, as well as career development.
