This article provides information about the song genre of the Karakalpak people, its origin history, classification, divisions based on thematic features, the descending and ascending movements of the melodies jump through the intervals. In addition, the scholarly research on Karakalpak folk tunes, the collection compiled by them, books based on folk tunes and their classification are discussed..
