Abstract

An ingrown nail is a chronic disease prone to recurrence, in which the edge of the nail plate grows into the lateral skin roller. An ingrown nail is one of the most common reasons for seeking surgical care, and in the structure of outpatient surgery it is − 5-20%. Surgical techniques, consisting in the removal of the nail plate, are increasingly criticized by patients due to the high level of trauma and the high frequency of relapses.
